It seems as if the clamor never ends. The dilemma of competing choices is a regular phenomenon in our lives.
Nevertheless, understanding the dilemma of competing choices is essential to proper and God honoring stewardship of our resources.
In the “parable of the sower”, Jesus gives us a warning. “Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desires for other things come and choke the word, making it unfruitful” – Mark 4:18-19.
Obviously, the great risk is that we will allow the struggle to choke out both our goals and our progress with the Lord.
Thus, our first question should always be “God, what do You want me to do?” And, there is no “second” question. When God reveals His answer, we simply say “yes Lord”.
